Common Concerns
What will you do to provide a worry-free experience?

At People to People, we have been organizing and operating overseas educational experiences for over 50 years. In that time, hundreds of thousands of Student Ambassadors have safely ventured to more than 60 countries worldwide.

Over these five decades of international exploration, we've developed specific policies and procedures to ensure that every delegate enjoys a safe and rewarding Student Ambassador experience.

The following information answers some of the most frequently asked questions parents have about People to People Student Ambassador journeys.

We've already planned for the "What ifs,"
so you won't have to:

What if an emergency occurs with my child?

What if an emergency takes place at home?

What if my child becomes ill?

What if I want to communicate with my child?

What if my child gets homesick?

What if my child doesn't like the food?

What if my child has special dietary restrictions?

What if my child takes medications?

What if there's a discipline problem?

The Student Ambassador journey begins long before departure.

You and your child will attend six two-hour orientation meetings to prepare during the months before the delegation embarks on the Student Ambassador journey.

In addition to learning the details of the journey and the destination, your family will meet fellow delegates and their families. You will get to know your area delegation leaders and observe how they supervise the delegates. For many Student Ambassadors, lifelong friendships begin at the very first meeting.

Count on these informative, interactive orientation meetings to help you:
  • Learn about the culture and history of your child's destination
  • Find out just what to pack
  • Review all air and land travel details
  • Answer any other questions you or your child may have about the journey
  • Meet delegation leaders and see them in action
