The Nomination Process
Find out what it takes to become a Student Ambassador.

Every school year, we invite students from across the United States to become People to People Student Ambassadors.

Students who are accepted into the program travel abroad or to distinct regions of the United States and North America with students their age from their local area. These area delegations of 30 to 40 Student Ambassadors are formed for fifth and sixth grade, middle school and high school students.

If you're interested in applying to become a Student Ambassador, we encourage you to attend an information meeting in your area with a parent or guardian to learn about your local delegation.

As part of the application process, we ask that you submit two written recommendations from teachers and one from an adult who knows you well. We'll also have you participate in a relaxed 20-minute interview with a People to People representative to help us get to know you and give you a chance to learn more about the program.

What's more rewarding than becoming a Student Ambassador?

Sharing your journey with lifelong friends.

Often students who have been accepted into People to People Student Ambassador Programs wish that their close friends could join them on their amazing journeys.

Please understand that nominating students does not guarantee that they will be accepted into the program. Like you, they will be asked to provide teacher recommendations and participate in the People to People interview process.
