Orientation Meetings
Your Student Ambassador journey begins long before your departure.

Before you embark on your Student Ambassador Program, you and your family will attend four two-hour orientation meetings to prepare you for your journey. In addition to learning about all of the details surrounding your journey, these meetings will provide you and your family with the chance to meet the other members of your local delegation, as well as their families. For many Student Ambassadors, their lifelong friendships begin at their very first orientation meeting.

You can also count on these highly informative orientation meetings to help you:
  • Learn about the culture and history of your destination countries

  • Find out exactly what you need to pack

  • Review all air, land and sea travel details

  • Answer any other questions you may have about your journey
Get everything you need to know before you go.

People to People Destination Guides provide an overview of the places you will experience on your program. In addition, online, interactive curriculum Explore Before You Go modules provide comprehensive, destination-specific course work regarding culture, history, surroundings, and government. Student Ambassador Certification prepares students for travel through online coursework regarding how to pack, what to
pack, airport procedures, accommodations, etc.

The Student Protocol provides detailed information on preparing for a successful program such as applying for a passport, phoning home during the journey, staying healthy, and much more. Parents receive their version of the Protocol so they can support your efforts and activities.

Our take-along Travel Journal help you appreciate what makes your destination unique, with fun, hands-on activities that let you discover the fascinating details at museums, government buildings and heritage sites.
